I didn’t grow up expecting that white-horse-knight-guy, but I have to confess to having devised a “Weird Science” checklist for the future Mr. Ridgeway: well-educated, ambitious, a good job that he doesn’t hate, something creative he does on the side, not bald, older than me but not too much, social, and of course, the standard ones: funny, smart, cute, sweet, good in bed (not in that order).
…………………………………………………………..
I always thought having my checklist wasn’t about finding the perfect man, but about finding the perfect man for me. But isn’t that still more about seeking perfection than being realistic? And if the perfect person or relationship doesn’t exist, can we all dare to operate under the premise that the perfect love does exist? Isn’t that even more to expect?
